Sitting alone wasn't always a bad thing. Kel was a quiet freshman. Did he honestly expect friends to come easily to him? Besides, he hadn't even been here that long. Staring at his tray of food, he let out a soft sigh and pushed some of his food around with his fork.
They hadn't found another foster home for him, so his former foster parents stuck him in Dalton. He boarded here, so nothing really appealed to him anymore. It was a drag to live somewhere where you didn't know anyone. Then again, this wasn't something Kellan wasn't used to. Making new friends, however, was a little more difficult than bonding with a replacement family.
