Ali stepped out of the car hesitantly, then walked around to Blaine's side and laced her arm with his and strutted proudly into the restaurant. Once they were seated, Ali looked around awkwardly. "So... um..."

Blaine got out and allowed Ali to walk him inside. Sitting down, he smiled across the table at her, chewing on some breadsticks. "So..."
Rosaleen walked over to the table, blinking with a smile, though her eyes were distant. "My name is Rosaleen. What can I get you two to drink?"

Ali was mostly silent, though she spoke to order a water when the waitress came up. She went silent again, staring at the table. Finally, she looked up at him, though she didn't say anything. She'd wait for him to start the conversation.

Blaine ordered a Coke with a smile, and watched as the waitress left, her walk slow and careful. Looking back at Ali, he smiled, then looked at the menu. "So, Ali... um..." He thought for a moment, then looked back up at her. "What're you gonna get?"

Ali blinked and shrugged. "Cheapest thing on the menu. Same thing I always get." She shrugged again and looked back down at the table.

"You don't have to do that... you can get the steak, if you'd like. I'll probably end up getting that." He smiled, looking down at the menu again.
Rosaleen returned with the water and the Coke, slowly leaving in a dream-like fashion.

"No... it's okay. I like the meal, anyway." She sighed, opening the menu, just to look. Though the cheap meal was okay, sort of, there were so many other things Ali wanted but could never afford. But if Blaine was paying... "I'll get the chicken alfredo, I guess..." When the drinks arrived, Ali quickly took a sip of her water, then went back to staring at the table quietly and awkwardly.

"Alright," he smiled, looking up at her with a smile. "So, Ali... how's the Glee club at McKinley?" He smiled meekly, unsure of what to talk about.

Ali looked up slightly and shrugged. "All right. Nothing exciting but it's never really boring, either. It's been a bit lonely without Kurt around, though." She shrugged again and looked down at her lap.

"I think I might've really scared him... I mean, I kissed him the other day, and he got scared and practically bolted off..." Blaine sighed, drinking more of his Coke with a small whimper. "I didn't want to scare him... I just wanted to kiss him..."

Ali couldn't help but chuckle. "Kurt's like a deer... he'll startle and run off at the slightest hint of 'danger.' Don't hide in the underbrush, but don't run at him from the front. Take it nice and slow... Show him you're a little Bambi too."

"That's what I did... but he was still jumpy." Blaine sighed dreamily, though was smiling. "He said he was happy he transferred to Dalton... and that he wanted to catch me whenever I fall." Looking over at Ali, the teen grinned broadly. "He's so sweet, isn't he?"
