Alice sighed, closing her locker. It seemed she was just a little bit behind. But now it was lunch, and if she could just make her way over to the cafeteria, she'd be able to eat in peace. Well, hopefully, she would. Delicate figure moved down the near-empty hall, blue-green eyes darting around at the scene before her. Welcome to McKinley High, she thought bitterly, having not recieved even the slightest bit of a welcome from anyone but her teachers. Yes, people sure were friendly here. Though the thought there was sarcastic, in a sad way, it was true. She hadn't been made fun of, at least, which was more than she could say about her old school. So maybe McKinley wasn't so bad.. Of course, it'd still be a lot better if someone would at least say 'hello'. Was it that difficult?

It was near her second week of school, and Rosaleen hadn't even met a single person--well, correction: she's met people, but none that would be a good "friend" for her. Opening her locker with difficulty, she juggled her books from her morning classes to her after-lunch classes.
"Is fuath liom an scoil seo..." Her Irish came out a little scornfully before she looked up. Red hair, a few lockers down... Maybe she shouldn't of said that that loud. "Er, hi." She murmured as she stepped closer to her. There weren't much people in the hallway, and she was more comfortable with this.
Dressed in a bright orange, long-sleeved shirt with "Is breá liom Baile Átha Cliath" written on the front, a pair of dark green skinny jeans, a very high Chuck Taylors that were colored with sharpies; they were rainbow all the way up, and had random placing of shamrocks. She had big, yellow earrings in the shapes of stars, and a resembling necklace that hung down the front of her shirt. She looked like a real oddball, but she didn't care.

Looking over the new arrival, Alice noticed three things. One: this girl seemed very strange. Two: She was much taller than Alice, which most people were, but.. Three: This was exactly the kind of person that Alice would want to learn more about. What she was wearing that day was definitely nowhere near as unique as this girl's clothing, though. It was merely her jeans, a t-shirt (though her hoodie was on over it), and a silver locket. "Hello," she greeted, a slight smile on her face, not caring to say much else. A pause, almost unnoticeable. She raised an eyebrow. "I'm Alice. You are..?" It was more of a demand than a question, as if it was her right to know everything about the girl. And in her mind, it was.

Looking the girl over again, she gave a small, distant smile before cocking her head to the side. "Hi," she repeated, then blinked for a moment. "Alice? My favorite song is called 'Alice'..." She zoned out for a moment, looking away for a moment before she looked back at her and smile. "I'm Rosaleen Mahony." Tabby added after a long pause, her blue eyes wide as she looked the redhead over.
"Well, it was nice meeting you... I better get to lunch, I'm very hungry." She gave another smile before readjusting her books and beginning to walk towards the cafeteria.

There was a moment where Alice pondered the name, then nodded. "Lee, then." She nodded again, more to herself now, as if approving the nickname she'd given her new acquaintance. Apon seeing Lee walk away, she frowned slightly, displeased by how easily she'd left. "Hey, wait!" She sped up a little, walking beside Lee. "Mind if I come with you?" Alice grinned, trying to look as friendly as possible. Don't screw this one up, Alice.

"Lee" looked back at the girl, blinking. "Oh... Er... Sure," she smiled weakly, pointing towards the cafateria. "So... Alice," Rosaleen whispered, racking her brain to find something to talk about. "Do you like to take lemon baths? With lemon slices and lemon juice mixed in with the water?" She asked excitedly, looking over at her new "friend" with a smile. Wow... what a weirdo.

There was another moment of silence while Alice considered this. "I can't really say whether I like it or not, since I've never tried it. Sounds interesting, though," she said with a nod, having basically ignored how strange the question was. No wonder Lee had been sort of an outcast, she wasn't really the type to fit in. But neither am I, Alice thought, still grinning. Yes, she was definitely off to a good start. "Hmm.. McKinley has a Glee Club, right?" She chuckled, not waiting for a reply. "On one hand they're crazy, on the other they're probably the bravest people out there. I couldn't sing in front of anyone if my life depended on it."

Rosaleen smiled, though quickly nodding with another, broader smile. "Yea. I'm in Glee club." She smiled contently, looking back at Alice. "You should try the bath. Makes your skin really soft and really makes it glow." Tabby nodded and sighed, heaving her books up again. "So... Alice..." She blinked, trying to think of another thing to talk about."

Alice nodded, seeing how, in her mind, Lee would so easily fit in with the Glee Club. Finally they were in the cafeteria, and she went straight to the lunch line, glancing back to see if her new friend was following. "The food here isn't too horrible, is it?" She raised an eyebrow.

"I wouldn't know. I don't eat the food here," she shurgged, moving towards an empty table, watching her friend. Reaching in her pocket, she pulled out a granola bar, and began to eat contently. "I'd rather just eat at home..."

Once Alice was through the line, she sat down with Lee, setting down her books. "God, it feels good to be able to put those down," she said with a laugh, picking at her food cautiously. ".. Well, it doesn't suck." She noticed the granola bar. ".. Is that all you have to eat?" She raised an eyebrow, then glanced down at her own food.

Rosaleen had been quiet the whole time she was alone, though looked up when Alice appeared again. "Well, yea." Shrugging, she took a bite of her granola bar, smiling at the taste. "Don't worry about me. I'll be fine." Her smile was genuine as she took another bite of the bar, chewing happily. She didn't eat much... she was anorexic, though didn't want the word to get out.
