» name: Rachel Berry.
» gender: female.
» position: cardigan-clad Broadway hopeful, known for being slushie'd and not much else.
» appearance:
» personality:
Feisty and courageous, Rachel strives to achieve goals above her own standards and expectations. She refuses to be silenced, and is not one to keep her opinions and/or ambitions to herself. She treats life as though it were a stage, and lives to perfect her performance.
While she's compassionate and determined, these personality traits can be played against her. She is easily caught up in feuds, and tends to only drag bad situations out further and longer. When she feels threatened, she puts her heart and soul into destroying or weakening whatever(or whoever) is threatening her.
She tends to react in almost childish ways, and is more than often set off extremely easily. Her personality and ego set her up for emotional disaster, and she only has herself to fall back on.
» relationships:
Finn Hudson
At one point, he was her everything. Her love. Her best friend. Her will to get up in the morning. Her pride. Her happiness. He kept her going like an energy drink, and she's pretty sure she had the same effect on him too.
She's slowly prying her thoughts away from him.
Noah Puckerman
They dated for a brief amount of time, and Rachel can't say very many bad things about their relationship. It was short and maybe even a little bit sweet.
Jesse St. James
Don't even bring it up. Just don't.
» Likes:
★ being in front of an audience. performing is her life, whether it be via acting, singing, dancing or a combination of them. she's trained for stardom, and is extremely eager to break out into show business.
★ getting her way, no matter what it takes. she can be very manipulating if she really puts her mind to it, and can usually provide very good reasons as to why she wants what she does.
as for her manipulative side, she has a very broad range of connections, as well as knowing how to use them.
★ attention. she lives for the stage, and has compared herself to Tinklebell in the past, claiming she "needs applause to live".
★ vegetarian meals. they're both nutritional and humane.
★ jazz and showtunes, though her taste in music is varied.
» Dislikes:
☹ giving away her spotlight. while she's all for duets and group numbers, she prefers to sing solos. you can't distribute fame equally.
☹ having her flaws pointed. she knows she can be selfish, and that she hasn't made the best choices, but she doesn't want to hear all about it.
☹ being called short. just don't do it.
☹ inhumane treatment of both animals and people. it makes her cringe, and she avoids watching the News.
☹ feeling shunned.

Rachel is a character I was almost immediately very attached to. We share many of the same personality traits, and I often find myself striving for perfection. While I might not take myself as seriously as Rachel takes herself, I'm not the type to joke around about my dreams and/or ambitions.
And I have quite a bit more to say, but you're going to have to buy my autobiography in a few years to find out the rest.
"This day's ending
Is the proof of time killing all the faith I know
Knowing that faith is all I hold
And I've lost who I am
And I can't understand
Why my heart is so broken
Rejecting your love
Without love gone wrong
Lifeless words carry on
But I know, all I know
Is that the end's beginning
Who I am from the start
Take me home to my heart
Let me go and I will run
I will not be silenced
All this time spent in vain
Wasted years, wasted gain
All is lost, hope remains
And this war's not over"
