Finn frowned, "Alright, fine, Rachel, maybe you don't have to explain it to me. Sorry for caring. I'll try to make a note to not do that as often in the future." He started to head for the door. He wanted out of here, now. His efforts were just wasted. It wouldn't have been the first time, after all.
Something was punching him in the head, though. Don't leave, Finn! Don't leave! He stopped at the door frame and looked back at Rachel.

A pained expression appeared on Rachel's face, and she could feel her body start shaking. So, this is how it was going to go? She shouldn't have come here. She knew that it was a bad idea, but no, she did it anyway. ..Sometimes, she could be pretty stupid. Her lower lip trembled, so she bit down on it. No. She was not going to let this affect her--
And then he turned around. Rachel froze like a deer in headlights, just staring at him.

So, this was what that infamous moment felt like, wasn't it? Where you're staring at someone you once cared so much about, someone you still cared about but didn't want to admit it... where you're caught, right there, and everything seems to slow down. You feel a tad awkward, because you're basically having a staring contest with a person you held dear, but at the same time you feel a bit three dimmensional for once in your life.
The reason this was currently happening? Because Finn had no idea what to say. It wasn't often that this happened to him; he usually stammered something out in a heart beat. He clenched his eyes shut and looked down, tapping his finger lightly on the door frame. When he looked back up, it was clear that about a million things were bothering him. "I'm sorry," He spoke softly and shook his head, "I'm.... so stupid." Best to admit it, after all. Swallowing hard, he dared to look her in the eye again.

For what was possibly the first time in her life, Rachel found that she had nothing to say. She'd hadn't planned any speech ahead of time for this, and none of her previous ones seemed to be appropriate in such a situation. She just stood there, speechless and confused. This feeling wasn't entirely new, honestly. She'd felt it before. But..
"There's nothing to apologise for," she said quietly, shaking her head once or twice. She wasn't sure how to describe this situation. Awkward? No, that surely wasn't the word she was looking for. No particular word even came to mind. "We're.. all a little bit stupid anyway."

Finn sighed almost silently as he propped himself against the door frame, crossing his arms and looking down at the ground again. "There's a lot that I could apologize for." He leaned his head back against the frame and looked up now. That surely dropped a hint, didn't it? He shouldn't have said it.
Well, he was in the doorway now. He could run, if nothing else.
OOC: I ship them so hard; it's so hard for me to make Finn stand by his decision. xD

"I'm sure you could. But that doesn't mean any of it is something you need to apologise for," Rachel said, watching him closely. She couldn't exactly point out why she knew, but she could tell something was bothering him. She didn't think it was her leaving. That shouldn't bother him. It wouldn't. "What are you waiting for?" She asked quietly.
She needed out of here.

Turning his head again to look at her, Finn sighed softly. "I'm just... a dude with a lot of regrets I guess." He looked back down and went to leave. Deep down he knew that Rachel probably didn't even want him back. She didn't need him to be successful in what she did. Glee club was going to suck without her, though. Finn was positive of that. He knew he should still be mad and should stand by his decision, but it was getting increasingly more difficult with every word he said.

"And? What are you waiting for?" She asked again, this time even quieter. She stared up at the ceiling, wondering if she'd made the right decision in coming. The right decision in quitting. The right decision in anything in her life. She had no idea why she was doubting herself like this, when she was usually so confident. It was driving her crazy, but she'd been doing it so often lately.
..And that was part of the reason she was quitting. The other part was just going on her gut. Another part was that in kind of hurt being in Glee, though she tried to avoid that thought altogether. Stay positive, Rachel, she reminded herself. Stay positive.

Finn looked down at the floor in thought. What was he waiting for? Perhaps the right time, maybe for his thoughts to start making sense alongside his actions.. Something along those lines. He turned and looked at Rachel. He felt like he should be saying something, perhaps admitting a fault, but he couldn't think of the words to say. "I was waiting for the r-right time." Finn took a few more steps inside of the room.
How many times had he tried to escape, now? Three, possibly eleven times. It didn't happen, and it wasn't going to apparently. And, now that he had Rachel here, Finn thought he might as well try to talk their... issues out. "But I guess it's now or never, huh?" Running his hand anxiously through his brown hair, he found himself to only be a foot or two away from her again.
What Finn was trying to say was... he still loved her.
